Originally, this treatise comprises the quintessence of the first course of the lectures of the great philosopher and mystic, his holiness Allama Ayatollah Tabātabā’ī, may God sanctify his soul, on ethics and Gnosis taught at Hawza ‘Ilmiya of Qum which have been written down by his holiness Ayatollah Allama Tihrānī, may God sanctify his soul, as compilation of lecture notes and published with modifications and addenda by his the latter.
